INVERELL – The Path to Opportunity
BEST Community Connections (BCC), a registered NDIS Service Provider in Inverell, continues to make a significant impact on the lives of individuals with disabilities in the community. Among the many success stories is that of a 20-year-old male participant who has been overcoming challenges and building his independence with the support of BCC.
Living with cerebral palsy, as well as visual and communication impairments, this young man joined BCC in 2023 after finishing high school. Transitioning from school to adulthood can often be a complex process, but through BCC’s Social and Community Access services, he has expanded his horizons and remained integrated within the Inverell community.
Community Participation and Professional Growth
With a focus on encouragement and meaningful engagement, BCC supports the participant in volunteering one day a week at a local business. Aided by the organisation’s dedicated team, he is able to develop professional connections in a nurturing environment. Volunteering not only deepens his involvement in the local community but also provides a sense of accomplishment and belonging.
Beyond Individual Support
"BEST Community Connections is committed to helping adults with disabilities achieve greater independence and community inclusion," said a representative from BCC. "By tailoring support to the individual, we empower participants to thrive socially, professionally, and personally in an inclusive and welcoming environment."
BCC offers a wide range of services for adults with moderate to high support needs, including Social and Community Participation, Assistance with Daily Life, Supported Independent Living, and Capacity Building. Their guiding vision is to foster possibilities by creating pathways that change the lives of people with disabilities.

Beyond professional growth, BCC has been instrumental in helping this young man establish new and lasting personal relationships. Whether it’s social outings, gaining skills for the future, or participating in community events, the emphasis remains on ensuring full inclusion within Inverell’s vibrant community.
