Welcome to the BEST Community Shed, a charity, which was established to build and grow a stronger, more socially inclusive community.
The BEST Community Shed provides the following services:

Collection and sales of donated furniture, clothing, electrical and homeware items.

Provides access to laundry and shower facilities.

Provision of welfare services.

Donates profits into local not for profit community organisations and community projects.

Collection and sale of donated items
The Community Shed takes in donated furniture, clothing and homeware items. Our volunteers and employment program participants collect donated items and sell them back to the local community. Clothing items can be dropped off in collection bins located near BEST Community Connections in Vivian Street Inverell or directly to the BEST Community Shed.

Access to laundry and shower facilities
Community members struggling with cost of living, unstable housing or suffering effects of drought may use our laundry and shower facilities.
Provision of Welfare Services
The BEST Community Shed provides welfare assistance to community members on Tuesdays and Fridays between 10am and 1 pm. Assistance includes food cards, clothing, bedding and furniture.

Our team carefully inspects each item to ensure it meets our quality standards before it reaches the shelves. Electrical items are inspected for damage and test and tagged before being sold.
