One of our friendly staff will meet with you face to face or over the phone, at a time that works for you and your business. They will get to know your business, and what you need in terms of a new employee, including skills, qualifications, personal qualities, and your expectations.

Organise workplace assessments and modifications
BEST Employment can assist employers to access the Employment Assistance Fund (EAF). The EAF is a government-funded program that helps employers cover the costs of workplace modifications, assistive technologies, and other supports to enable employees with disabilities to work effectively.
Key features of the EAF include covering the costs of workplace modifications such as:
- Physical adjustments (e.g., wheelchair ramps, ergonomic furniture)
- Assistive technology (e.g., screen readers, speech-to-text software)
- Communication supports (e.g., sign language interpreters)
- Specialist services (e.g., disability awareness training for staff)
Access wage subsidies
Your business may be eligible to receive a wage subsidy to assist with the hiring of a person with a disability. Wage subsidies must be negotiated and agreed before the placement starts and can be used where the employer has a continuing employment position available.
There is eligibility criteria involved, and wage subsidies can range between $3000 and $10000, depending on the candidates’ circumstances.
Support both you and your new employees once they start work and on an ongoing basis
BEST staff will continue to provide you and the new employee with Post Placement Support (PPS) once they have commenced work with you. PPS typically lasts up to 26 weeks and is designed to help the employee settle into their role successfully while ensuring the employer has the necessary support to retain them.
PPS includes:
- Regular Check-Ins with the new employee and employer to address any challenges. The frequency of check ins will vary dependent on the employer and employee’s needs
- On-the-Job Support and coaching, including training or mentoring to help the employee adjust to the job and assisting with workplace adjustments or modifications
- Employer Support and guidance to provide advice on managing an inclusive workplace and understanding any workplace adjustments
- Problem-solving and mediation to address any concerns that arise between the employer and employee including resolution of misunderstandings or performance issues.
Support eligible existing staff to maintain their employment through Ongoing Support (Work Assist)
Inclusive Employment Australia Ongoing Support (Work Assist) is a program that helps employees who are struggling to perform their job due to the impact of their disability, injury, or health condition.
The goal of Ongoing Support (Work Assist) is to provide free support to help employees maintain their employment and avoid job loss.
Ongoing Support (Work Assist) can provide the following support:
- Workplace assessments
- Workplace modifications and equipment
- On the job support and mentoring
- Employer support and advice
- Ongoing monitoring and case management for the employee
