The Helping Hands Program is a 12-month program aimed to support First Nations youth that have been previously incarcerated or are at risk of becoming incarcerated by supporting their cultural, emotional, and social well- being, reducing offending behaviours and providing education and advocacy. Assistance can include:
- Cultural activities/programs
- Transport to relevant appointments
- Housing support
- Licensing and Identification
- Engagement in education
- Employment assistance
- Financial/Life skills
- Health and wellbeing
- Social engagement
- Parenting and relationships
- Legal – police/court support

Program Eligibility:
- Indigenous
- Aged between 12 and 20 years
- Previously incarcerated or are at risk of becoming incarcerated (contact with police)
- Referral based program (Family cannot refer in)
