About BEST

BEST Employment Ltd. (BEST) is a community based, not for profit company limited by guarantee. BEST provides an extensive range of contracted employment and community services. BEST exists to provide quality assistance to disadvantaged service users and to provide direct social benefit within its communities. BEST’s  service delivery platform extends throughout the New England and Northwest regions of New South Wales and  the Granite Belt region of Southern Queensland.

BEST Employment Ltd is a Job Services Australia (JSA) provider, contracted  by the Commonwealth Government.  Services provided under the JSA contract are aimed at increasing  employment participation, playing a greater role in addressing skills in demand and helping individual job seekers, particularly disadvantaged job seekers, find sustainable employment. Under its JSA contract, BEST also strongly focuses on the needs of employers, with a determined emphasis on helping employers find work-ready job seekers.

BEST is also contracted by the Commonwealth to deliver Disability Employment Services (DES). This program provide specialised employment help for people with a disability, injury or illness.
Community Support Service (CSS) is another program delivered by BEST in Inverell, Moree and Narrabri. This service provides support for Indigenous community members and their families by providing links and referrals to a range of mainstream and Indigenous services.

BEST is also committed to undertaking a range of Social Enterprise initiatives, one of which is BEST Tree Tenders Nursery, in Inverell.
